The challenge

Installing a new Plant Room and supplying temporary boilers at Muirpark Gardens which is a social housing facility for over 65s. There were 35 occupied flats within the residential building meaning the project needed completing without disrupting residents’ heating and hot water services.

The solution

As principal contractor we worked around the clock to follow the clients’ tight deadlines to get the project completed in a timely and efficient manner. As well as finishing the project to a high standard we built a great relationship with the scheme manager at Muirpark, to ensure the residents were content whilst we carried out major work within their homes.

Our approach

The engineers built up a friendly and approachable manor whilst on site with residents, staff and sub-contractors. Our engineers showed care and consideration throughout the project and built up a friendly rapport, so our client received brilliant customer satisfaction from the residents and scheme manager.

The results

The new plantroom and boilers significantly improved efficiency to ensure better heating performance and to reduce energy consumption and costs.
We completed the project with minimum down time on the heating and hot water which was a main priority due to the residents been elderly.
Overall, the relationship with the residents and scheme manager that our engineers built up played a key part in completing our project successfully.

At the end of last year Prestige and his team undertook a major project here.

Throughout their time here I found them to be not only responsible but thoughtful, respectful and considerate of the residents.

They made sure if they had to work on late or arrive early they moved around quietly, car/van doors were not slammed shut.

We are all elderly and the care and respect shown was very welcomed.

I would also add if anyone had a problem with their heating, Bradley or one of his team would take time to see if they could help. This thoughtfuIness made the whole process and upheaval that is bound to happen when major work has to be undertaken easier for us all.

They cleaned up as they went, provided heaters for when the heating was to be off, left cakes, biscuits for us in the communal lounge as a thank you for tolerating the upheaval, kept us informed as much as they could, enjoyed a laugh with us and always without exception spoke to us all with respect.

Personally I would welcome them back anytime and I know others feel the same
